Back to School Projects

Time to start back into the school year and the best way to introduce curriculum is to disguise it as Art! Get all of your homeschoolers involved with these fun and creative activities... .

  • Magazine Picture Puzzles Create your own puzzles with Magazine pages or a large 8x10 printed photo

    What you'll need:
    Large Magazine Picture
    Glue
    Scissors
    Thick cardboard

Spend a little time looking thru some magazines with your kids. Let them choose a couple of pictures they would like to make a puzzle out of. Help them cut out the pictures, or let them do it themsleves (depending on their age). The older your kids are the more pieces you should cut the picture into. Use your glue stick to glue the cut up picture to some thick cardboard.

When it's dry, use the scissors to cut out the puzzle pieces. You can store your new puzzles in labeled Ziploc bagsThey really fun thing about these is as soon as your kids get tired of them you can make more.

Fun Gift Tip: Get an 8x10 picture and make it into a puzzle as a gift. You can have it all cut up and ready for them to put together. You and the kids get to watch their faces as they slowly get to see what the picture is!
