Twistedly Soft Pretzels

Looking for perfectly simple recipes that will let your homeschooler spend a little more time in the kitchen - maybe even without your having to do all the work? Here is a fun and twistedly simple recipe for soft pretzels.

What you'll need:

2 loaves frozen bread dough
1 egg white, slightly beaten
1 teaspoon water
Coarse salt
  1. Separate thawed bread into 24 seperate - 1 1/2" balls. Roll each ball into a rope 14 1/2" long.

  2. Have you homeschoolers plan and design pretzel shapes (letters or whatever seems fun).

  3. Place your homeschoolers' pretzels one inch apart on the greased cookie sheet. After letting them stand for 20 minutes, brush well with combined egg white and water. Then sprinkle with coarse salt.

  4. Place a shallow pan with 1" of boiling water on bottom rack of oven; bake pretzels at 350 degrees on the rack above boiling water for 20 minutes or until they're golden brown.

Aloha & Enjoy....We Always Do!!
